Executive Interim in China
Map of the world

🇨🇳 China is experiencing an enormous expansion of its business base. By late 2024, the country counted about 188 million business entities, with more than 180 million private entities (private companies plus self-employed businesses), representing over 96% of all entities.

This dynamic market faces slowing growth in some sectors, a rebalancing toward domestic consumption, and strong regulatory oversight in tech, finance and real estate.

For multinational groups and large domestic champions, interim management in China is used to manage market entries, restructurings, factory relocations, supply-chain diversification and compliance programmes. Interim executives are often bilingual leaders who understand both Chinese business culture and Western governance expectations, acting as interim GMs, plant managers, CFOs or Chief Compliance Officers.
