Project Manager for the structuring of the treasury function
Project Manager for the structuring of the treasury function
Context & Objectives
The management of a medium-sized distribution company carried out a thorough overhaul of its finance department's systems and operating procedures. The changes were particularly significant in terms of budgeting, reporting, and the preparation of balance sheets and cash flow statements, with a view to ensuring data consistency and quality for reliable management. However, one of the fundamental management modules still needs to be developed, namely a 12-month cash flow forecasting tool.
Objective is to ensure total control of cash flow, secure short- and medium-term forecasts, make financial processes more reliable, and provide management with a 12-month management tool to anticipate cash needs, risks, and opportunities.
• Secure cash flow: guarantee the visibility and reliability of financial flows.
• Make processes more reliable: reduce errors, approximations, and informal dependencies.
• Provide visibility to management: provide a clear and shared management tool.
• Anticipate financing needs: identify liquidity pressures and prepare solutions.
The company has launched a recruitment drive to fill a newly created permanent position to take charge of this cash flow forecasting function. However, in order not to waste time and to move forward without delay on this crucial management project, the management team wishes to use the services of a Project Manager to launch the implementation of the function.

At the end of an eight-month assignment, the fundamental elements are in place and the tools have been developed, tested, and validated.
